Brian
Brian is an experienced business leader with an impressive track record in a number of Senior Management roles which included profit responsibility. He has over 30 years experience in change management and performance improvement.
On three occasions, he successfully turned around divisions which were unprofitable, and the morale low, to the point where the teams were well motivated, and the division's profitability and debtor situation restored. Brian has a degree in Electrical Engineering, and formal qualifications in Industrial Automation and Business Management. He has qualified as a CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Control) and a CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and recently obtained International Certification in TOC Fundamentals (Theory of Constraints).
In 2003, he founded the Sydney Lean Network, a self help organization of manufacturing and supply chain practitioners. This group has grown from 20 to 300 members in two years. He is a member of the AME and regularly attends AME meetings and conferences where he has presented papers and case studies.
As a consultant Brian has led and facilitated a number of 'Lean Transformations in Multinational Corporations with local Divisions of in Australia, New Zealand and China (Shanghai) in the last 6 years. He facilitates 'learning by doing'. His clients include Cisco, Tyco, Rondo Building Products, Johnson Diversey.
Brian has a broad business and industry knowledge. The fields include Aerospace, Industrial, Instrumentation, Electronics, Building Services, Computer Networking, Steel Products, Detergents, Mining, Petrochemicals as well as FMCG, Supply Chain & Distribution.
