George

George has a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management, and an Accredited Associate of the Herrmann International Network (HDBI Psychographic). His initial training and experience in consulting was with Deloitte.

George has also undergone training in LEAN Thinking at Cardiff's Lean Enterprise Research Centre with Prof Peter Hines. George has considerable General Management experience but also hands-on experience in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Distribution, Logistics, Procurement and Marketing.

He also has over 10 years experience in Consulting, Project Management and Team Facilitation, having applied his knowledge and skills to organisations such as Ampol, Caltex, Boral, BHP, Telstra, NRMA, YKK, Multinail, Seeley, Dexion and MainTrain.

His expertise is focused in Supply Chain and Distribution from a holistic customer driven perspective. He has managed projects across a broad range of Engineering, Manufacturing, Distribution and Service industries. His areas of specialisation include LEAN Enterprise Tools Implementation including FIVE S, Value Stream Mapping, Cell Design, Factory Layout, Unique expertise in Lean New Product Design, and Quality Function Deployment Lean Distribution, Purchasing and Logistics Supply Process Re-Engineering, Supply Chain Modeling and Optimisation Customer Surveys & Feedback Systems - Customer Relationship Management Purchasing and Sourcing infrastructure design and implementation - supply negotiations MRPII Software Selection, System Specification, Design and Implementation.

George's personable and direct style lends itself to workshop oriented hands on deployment. His shop floor warehouse operations experience is invaluable in reaching to the core of the change management hurdles so many companies confront in their quest for performance excellence.
